Courtesy Pay Services

At Mission Fed, we understand that life happens. We’re for people, not profit. Which is why, if you accidentally overdraft your checking account, we have options to keep you covered.

Mission Courtesy Pay

Mission Courtesy Pay is extended to members for their good account management. When there are not enough funds available, this service may pay checks and Automated Clearing House (ACH) items that are coming out of the account as payments.

There is no fee to enroll, and no fee will be charged unless you use the service and the transaction results in a negative balance that is greater than $10. (Please check our fee schedule.)

Members whose accounts qualify for Mission Courtesy Pay will be notified by mail or electronically if enrolled in eNotices. You can also call us or ask us when you visit one of our branches. Mission Courtesy Pay is not available on Breeze Spending Accounts.

This service is not a credit product; it is intended for occasional use only, and should not be relied upon when you know funds are not available in your account.

Mission Debit Card Privilege

With Mission Debit Card Privilege, Mission Fed may authorize your PIN and signature-based Debit Card purchase transactions, even if there is not enough money in your checking account to cover them.

There is no fee to enroll, and no fee will be charged unless you use the service and the transaction results in a negative balance that is greater than $10. (Please check our fee schedule.)

If you have a Breeze Spending account, free overdraft protection for debit card transactions is available up to $20 without direct deposit and up to $100 with direct deposit. (Please check our fee schedule.)

This is not a credit product; it is an overdraft protection program that is intended to be used occasionally for inadvertent overdrafts.

Find out if your account qualifies for this service and complete program details including how to enroll by logging into Mobile or Online Banking, then going to Member Service, Mission Debit Card Privilege. Or call us at 858.524.2850 or 800.500.6328 or ask at any branch.

For members who choose to participate in Mission Debit Card Privilege and already have Mission Courtesy Pay for checks and ACH items, the total amount is a combined overdraft limit for both services. If you have other overdraft protection plans in place, those plans will be utilized prior to Mission Debit Card Privilege.

Opt Out You can opt out of Mission Debit Card Privilege or Mission Courtesy Pay services at any time. If you decide you would like to opt out, you can do so via Mission Fed Mobile and Online Banking, by visiting any of our branches, calling us at 800.500.6328 or by mailing a letter to Mission Federal Credit Union, P.O. Box 919023, San Diego, CA 92191-9023.

Disclosures

Overdraft Protection is offered at the discretion of the credit union and may be revoked, changed or discontinued at any time without prior notice. There is no fee to enroll, and no fee will be charged unless you use the service and the transaction results in a negative balance that is greater than $10. Overdraft Protection services are not credit products. Overdraft protection is intended for occasional use only and should not be relied upon when you know funds are not available in your account. Mission Fed will charge a fee each time your account is overdrawn if the transaction results in a negative available balance greater than $10. Overdraft Protection is the last option after any overdraft funds transfers currently set up on your account. For members enrolled in Mission Courtesy Pay and Mission Debit Card Privilege, the total overdraft amount allowed is a combined limit for both services. For Breeze Spending Accounts, free overdraft protection for debit card transactions is available up to $20 without direct deposit and up to $100 with direct deposit. $100 overdraft coverage requires qualifying direct deposits of at least $500 into your Breeze Spending Account.
