What supporting 27 branches looks like on a daily basis

February 20, 2015 | Mission Fed

It’s 9am and a phone call from a branch sets the Branch Support Team in motion. The call could be regarding an over contribution on a retirement account, the recent passing of a member, or a fraudulent transaction occurring on an account. It’s all in a day’s work in the Mission Fed Branch Support Department, and this team thrives on handling the diverse issues that come their way.

In addition to assisting branches with daily occurrences, the Branch Support team works on projects to enhance the operational experience throughout our 27 branches. Most of the projects are employee-facing but here are a few services that you may have used while visiting a branch: Mission Coin Counter, Safe Deposit Boxes, and Signature Pads.

One of Mission Fed’s strategic goals is Operational Excellence. The Branch Support Team enthusiastically contributes to this goal on a daily basis. Assisting a member with placing a stop payment gets an employee thinking about a better way to perform the process. The idea is submitted to the Branch Support Team. They are on it, reviewing the requirements, asking questions, collaborating with other areas in the credit union, updating procedures and communicating the change to the branches. It really is all in a day’s work.

Whether it is helping a branch employee with a question or implementing a project that delights members, the Branch Support Team stands strong in making the Mission Fed experience a favorable one for members and employees.
