Mission Fed was proud to support Susan G. Komen San Diego RACE FOR THE CURE® The Walk to End Breast Cancer on Sunday, November 4 in Balboa Park. We are passionate about giving back to our community, and the Susan G. Komen walk is an incredible way to raise funds for breast cancer with our San Diego community. Participants, including Mission Fed employees, were able to join together with people dedicated to going above and beyond to raise money and awareness for breast cancer, all while walking through beautiful San Diego.

The Susan G. Komen walks transcend the usual fundraiser experience to make a bold impact for participants, donors and observers alike—all in support of an important cause—breast health!

Susan G. Komen San Diego focuses on breast health with breast cancer self-awareness resources, mammogram information and much more. If you or someone you love needs more information about breast health visit komensandiego.org.

Mission Hearts in the Community

We believe in connecting with our community by giving back to San Diegans and local nonprofits. Mission Fed chose to not just be a sponsor for the Susan G. Komen San Diego RACE FOR THE CURE® The Walk to End Breast Cancer, but also extend our “Mission Hearts in the Community” campaign to the walk itself.

Mission Hearts in the Community” is a campaign that solidifies Mission Fed’s dedication to giving back to the community’s nonprofits and schools. During this year’s Susan G. Komen San Diego RACE FOR THE CURE® The Walk to End Breast Cancer, participants found “Mission Fed Hearts” placed along the route on November 4. Each heart was worth a $100 donation to a San Diego nonprofit chosen by the person who found the heart.

Mission Fed’s heart is truly in our San Diego community, so we love finding ways to give back and show our appreciation for the community and the people that make us who we are. We are proud to support and to have sponsored Susan G. Komen San Diego RACE FOR THE CURE® The Walk to End Breast Cancer—a moving monument and celebration of the incredible people dedicated to the power of ending breast cancer. Each step is a tribute, and Mission Fed is excited to add the possibility of doing even more good every step of the way.
