Since our beginnings in 1961, Mission Fed has been dedicated to strengthening and improving the communities in which we live, work and play. Through partnerships with schools and over 200 nonprofit organizations directly committed to a healthier, stronger, vibrant and resilient San Diego County, we’re on a mission to ensure that San Diego’s success is our bottom line.

Check out how our San Diego credit union is partnering with the community this summer and vote Mission Fed San Diego’s Best in the U-T Readers Poll.

Staff Appreciation Days at the San Diego County Fair
We think that all San Diego County school staff and educators should start the summer off with some fun. And that’s why Mission Fed would like to offer all school staff 4 free admission vouchers to the San Diego County Fair valid on Friday, June 15, Friday, June 22 or Friday, June 29. Staff of any public or private school, district office, K-12 and colleges in San Diego County are eligible. Visit any Mission Fed Branch now—June 29 to pick up your vouchers while supplies last—they’re going fast.

But that’s not all! In 2018, these three School Staff Appreciation Days are also Kids’ Days, where children 12 and younger receive free admission, so you can use your free tickets for the “big kids!” Learn more here.

Mission Fed partners with San Diego Unified for Summer Fun Café
Summer should be fun, carefree and exciting for all kids. But for too many San Diego children, the end of the school year can sadly also mean hunger. During summer, the free and reduced price meals kids depend on throughout the year are gone, and many children find themselves wondering where their next healthy meal is going to come from.

As a mom and member of the San Diego community, I have a special place in my heart for this summer lunch program. For the past 3 years Mission Fed has partnered with the San Diego Unified School District to keep kids nourished all summer long with tasty, freshly prepared meals at the Summer Fun Café. There is no cost, no registration and no questions asked—just free meals for kids and teens 18 years and younger. Find locations and times on the San Diego Unified website or call 211.

Vote Mission Fed for San Diego’s Best 2018
Working at Mission Fed and being a San Diego native gives me a lot to lot to be thankful for. And this is the time of year when the San Diego U-T Readers Poll provides me—and all of us—with the ideal place to show our gratitude and loyalty, because we can vote online for Mission Fed daily now through June 26 in 7 categories!

Vote Mission Fed the Best:

  • Auto Loan Provider
  • Commercial Banking
  • Financial Planning
  • Local Credit Union
  • Mortgage/Home Loan Provider
  • Place to Work
  • Mission Federal ArtWalk

Thank you for your loyalty and support. Without it, we wouldn’t be able to support our community and give back to local nonprofits that make living in San Diego better for all of us.
