For 34 years, Mission Federal ArtWalk has celebrated both visual and performing arts in San Diego. Art has the power to connect communities, engage minds and talent of all ages, and create a better quality of life through cultural enrichment.

On April 28 and 29 from 11am-6pm, Mission Federal ArtWalk will fill 17 blocks in San Diego’s Little Italy neighborhood. With thousands of attendees displaying their art and purchasing art, Mission Federal ArtWalk is the place to be! Whether you come alone or bring the entire family, you’re sure to enjoy this free community event.

And here are 4 reasons you should attend Mission Federal ArtWalk:

  1. Mission Federal ArtWalk is Southern California’s largest fine art festival. In just a few days, the streets of Little Italy in San Diego will be transformed into a 17 block open air gallery with more than 350 visual and performing artists. With artists from the US, Mexico and abroad, you can expect to see fine art from around the world and enjoy conversations with many artists and art enthusiasts alike.
  2. There’s so much more than artwork—like jewelry and dancing! If you’re a fan of fine handmade jewelry, Mission Federal ArtWalk will be a true treat. Along with many jewelry artists, you’ll be able to peruse the booths of sculptors, photographers, metal works and much more. Plus, Mission Federal ArtWalk features many stages with live visual arts like dancing and interactive art areas, where you can contribute to a masterpiece.
  3. Families can enjoy interactive art in KidsWalk. KidsWalk is a hands-on art experience at Mission Federal ArtWalk. Bring the family or grandkids and participate in fun and creative art experiences provided by arts education groups throughout San Diego County who believe that all children need art.
  4. Treat yourself to lunch, dinner or dessert at one of Little Italy’s restaurants. In addition to all the spectacular art and entertainment at Mission Federal ArtWalk, you’ll also be in the heart of Little Italy. Take a lap or two around the 17 blocks of art booths and then enjoy lunch or dinner while dining al fresco at your favorite restaurant.

Plus, you can enter to win an original piece of art from a Mission Federal ArtWalk artist! Stop by any of Mission Fed’s branches, or our Info Booth at the event, to fill out a Mission Federal ArtWalk entry form for a chance to win.

You can experience this free fine art festival on Saturday, April 28 or Sunday, April 29 from 11am to 6pm. Post your pictures on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, tag Mission Fed, and use #ArtWalkSD to share your Mission Fed Moment at Mission Federal ArtWalk. See you there!
