15 Financial Tips for San Diegans

I recently relocated back from Phoenix, Arizona to “America’s Finest City.” There are so many things to consider when moving to a new geographic location. For example, I forgot to cancel my gym membership prior to moving in 2014. Direct payment to a vendor from a personal savings account can easily slip by us when times are busy.

A periodic review of financial tips can assist in utilizing your money more effectively. Think of this list as a year-end cleaning for your spending habits—or a good start to the New Year. Whether we’re in the middle of a move to a new city or cleaning the house before company comes for the holidays, we all review our personal belongings from time to time and make decisions on whether to keep an item or part ways. The ultimate goal of implementing the tips is to save for the future by “Investing in Yourself.”

Make a family game of these tips to see how much you can save together. Simple ideas add up quickly to real savings. There are plenty of ways to save on your finances and still enjoy “America’s Finest City.”
