Why choose Mission Federal Credit Union to open an account?
When you’re looking for the right place to do your banking, you generally have the choice between a traditional bank and a credit union. So what’s the difference between these two? The biggest difference is that traditional banks charge higher fees and interest rates on loan products like an auto loan to make a profit, and you typically receive lower rates on savings accounts. Credit unions, on the other hand, are not-for-profit financial cooperatives, so member success is integral to the success of the institution. That means credit unions are more likely to work hard to help you succeed financially by offering lower loan rates, low or no fees and better dividends on savings accounts. When you choose to bank with Mission Federal Credit Union, you’ll receive knowledgeable service, great products, and Online and Mobile Banking to manage your accounts anytime and anywhere. Additionally, with a Mission Fed Platinum Debit Card, you will have access to over 30,000 CO-OP free ATMs that you can use without incurring any ATM fees.
At Mission Fed, our members come first, so when you choose to open an account with us, you can trust that you will be our priority. Since we are a credit union, we are member-owned, but that doesn’t mean we’re exclusive. Although we started in 1961 as a credit union for the educational community, we have since opened our doors to all San Diegans, so as long as you live, work or go to school in San Diego County, you’re welcome to bank with us! We pride ourselves on putting people before profit. Helping our members achieve financial milestones, which we call “Mission Fed Moments,” is just one way we do that. Open a credit union account today and create your first Mission Fed Moment with a financial institution you can trust.
You’ve made San Diego your home because of all it has to offer, including great weather, beautiful scenery and more opportunities. We value our San Diego community as much as you do, which is why we focus on giving back to the community we love. You can feel good about opening an account with us knowing that your credit union account helps contribute to hundreds of local educational and nonprofit organizations that make a difference in our community. So if you’re looking for a better place to set up a bank account, make your move to Mission Fed and open a credit union bank account today.

A Mission Fed employee once told me ‘It’s not a bank, it’s a credit union.’ These 8 words piqued my curiosity. Since then Mission Fed has proved to me time and time again what that means and why their standard for customer services leaves conventional banks in the dust.-Nicholas B.
