Grants represent part of a $500,000 giving commitment
SAN DIEGO, CALIF. (Oct. 6, 2025) – Driven by its mission of caring for the community, Mission Fed Credit Union is awarding $230,000 to 26 San Diego nonprofits through the “Community is Everything” fund, part of the organization’s $500,000 commitment.
Mission Fed — the largest member-owned, not-for-profit, full-service financial institution exclusively serving San Diego County — is dedicated to financially empowering San Diegans. This commitment includes partnering with organizations to secure financial resources that make a lasting impact in areas such as education, healthcare, the arts, social services and more.
“Our goal at Mission Fed — and through the ‘Community is Everything’ Fund — is to improve the lives of San Diegans across the county,” said Doug Wright, president and chief executive officer of Mission Fed. “We’re proud to support a range of organizations that make a meaningful impact every day and contribute to our community’s well-being.”
Mission Fed selected its grantees through an application process. MiraCosta Foundation and Interfaith Community Services each received $25,000, while an additional 24 organizations were awarded $10,000 or $5,000 grants. Recipients include:
