At Mission Fed, giving back to our community is at the heart of what we do. That’s why we’ve partnered with the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank to support the Food 4 Kids Backpack Program. This vital program provides local children with nutritious food over the weekend when school meals are unavailable. Together, we’re working to build a brighter, healthier future for San Diego’s children.

Did you know that regular access to meals helps children perform better in school, boosts their confidence, and keeps them more engaged in their classes? The Food 4 Kids Backpack Program does more than just feed children—it empowers them to succeed. With your support, we can continue to provide this essential service to over 3,500 children across San Diego County. It only takes $8 to provide a child with a weekend’s worth of nutritious food.
How You Can Make a Difference
You can join Mission Fed Credit Union in supporting the Food Bank’s Food 4 Kids Backpack Program during San Diego Hunger Awareness Month! Throughout September, visit any Mission Fed branch in San Diego County to donate. Your contribution will provide a weekend backpack full of nutritious food for a local child in need. Every donation makes a difference, and we’re grateful for any amount you can give.
