Mission Fed Launches Gen Now Website "mPower Money"
October 27, 2009 - San Diego, CA - Financial literacy amoung teens is a top issue facing our youth today. To meet the need to educate our young adults about financial issues, Mission Fed developed a youth oriented website complete with the basics in real life money issues: www.missionfedmpower.com. Designed to appeal to a 16 to 25 age group, the site offers several self paced courses on everything from how to budget your money to buying your first car.
mPower Money includes interactive elements to reach the youth audience such as podcast on topics ranging from credit card responsibility to wedding spending. An engaging social media section connects the visitors to Mission Fed Twitter and Facebook sites to become a Fan or Friend. Special promotional offers and financial insights are shared via the new social media channel.
To celebrate the new site, Mission Fed developed a new mPower checking account specifically for teens age 16-17. With a partnership with local sun and skate retailer, Sun Diego new mPower members are eligible for a free $25 Sun Diego gift card, a chance to win Sun Diego provided prizes such as high end skateboards, electronics, clothing and more.
