Federal Stimulus/Economic Impact Payments
We understand that Federal Stimulus payments (also known as Economic Impact payments) are critical to many of our members. The following is important information to share with you.
If you are eligible to receive a Federal Stimulus/Economic Impact payment, you may receive the funds in one of the following ways:
- Direct deposit: The payment will be posted to the bank account reflected or reported on your 2020 (or 2019) tax return.
- When will my payment be posted to my account? Mission Fed will deposit stimulus payments in advance of the posting date provided by the IRS, and generally within one business day after receiving the pending deposit notification. Posted and pending deposits can be viewed in your transaction history in online or mobile banking.
- Paper check: If you did not file a tax return or have not given the IRS your direct deposit account information in the last two years, you may receive a US Treasury check. If you receive a paper check, we encourage you to deposit your check
through the Mission Fed Mobile Banking App or at a Mission Fed ATM.
- Prepaid card: Some members may receive a prepaid card in the mail instead of a paper check. You may use this card as a debit card.
